The 411

Your session is important to me! I take pride in the fact that you chose Jilian McLendon Photography to capture your special moments! Every photoshoot is unique and allows me to collaborate your specific needs and my artistic style. If you enjoy the photos in my online portfolio and are interested in booking a shoot with me, feel free to send me an email. You can to contact me here.

You will only get the very best! Professional photographers shoot in RAW format meaning that every image is a HUGE file and can only be opened in special photo editing software, processed, and then converted to another file type. My job is to sort through all of the (hundreds) of photos and select, edit, and present the very best images from our photoshoot together. This takes hours upon hours to complete and is a massive part of the creative process as a photographer. I can ensure that you will get only the very best edited images from your session. Jilian McLendon Photography does not relinquish RAW or unedited photographs.

About my style: Though I enjoy some posed shots here and there, my main love is candid photography. Not only am I trying to snap a memory during my time with you, I am also aiming to capture your personality. I want the in-between moments, the ones that are easily missed. During these shots is when I get to know you the best. The candid, laid back feel of the photos I take can bring you back to all the warm and fuzzies you were feeling at that one time and place. There is something so magical about that.

How does payment work? Upon booking your shoot, 50$ of the session/package fee is due to secure that date. This is a non-refundable fee. The remaining balance is due at the time of the session. I accept Venmo (preferred) Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, PayPal, cash, as well as checks!

I charge a non-refundable travel fee for locations further than 25 miles from West Midtown, ATL starting at $20.

*WEDDING deposits are 25% of your package of choice. This is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due one month prior to your wedding day.

How do we prepare for our session? The first thing I always tell my clients is to find inspiration online and send what you find to me! Pinterest, Instagram, and Tumblr are great hubs for inspiration as far as poses, color palette, and locations. We will be in communication to discuss wardrobe and what you would like to accomplish with your session. You may want to consider booking a hair and makeup artists for the day-of. (If you need recommendations, just ask!) Remember to bring multiple clothing options and shoes, props, makeup (for touchups), a brush or comb, hairspray, lint roller, etc. The night before get a good night's sleep and drink lots of water!

What happens after the photoshoot? This is when my real work begins! The editing process can be tedious, but I know that you are anxious to see the photos I'm working on! I usually post sneak-peeks of our session online via Instagram and Facebook within a week and will have a completed online proofing gallery sent to you within 3 weeks of our session. *this time may be lengthened for large events such as weddings or parties*

How does the digital gallery work? After your session I will create a private, online gallery which allows you to go through the images and select your favorites. Once you have made your selections, I send you the files for you to download! Each package includes a set amount of digital files. Like more images than the package offers? Great!- Just select all the extra images that you would like to purchase! They're only $10/image!

I love my photos!! Can I post them to Instagram? Absolutely you can! In fact, I want you to share them! Your gallery will include a document that contains important information on printing and sharing on social media. The gist of the document is: you can share, post, and print as much as you like, as long as it's for personal use. There is also a bit in there about using filters. I know we all love them, but it's rude and it's illegal. And lastly, anytime you post online, make sure you credit/tag me!
